Purpose of my life

what is my true purpose in life?

This is one of the questions that has been bothering me so much in the last couple of weeks. I have thought of this in the past many times, but never concluded with an answer that convinces me as I used to get deviated due to too many thoughts after I start the first few points.

Now here are some of my instinct thoughts or answers.

------------------------- Me -----------------------
- to learn, love n contribute to the society
- community development
- world in peace
- make it a better place
- to make money and take care of the family
- to learn new technologies and get a job
- to learn and invent something useful
- to respect , love, share, play, help, support, care for other beings
- to be honest, to challenge yourself, to learn and master, to learn and share,
- to protect the nature, live with nature, leave it a better place for next generations, so that they can have good place to live
- to live happily and peacefully with family , friends, surroundings,
- to make a honest effort in what ever we do
- to see, listen, taste, touch, feel(emotions), think
- to use the resources we have to the best possible [6 senses] experiences
- to make use of the time and resources
- to do the task in hand to your best

If I have to be precise ... it is

" to [use]  all our senses, time & resources with conscious "

" to do actions with conscious "

*** Conscious living!!! ***

To do my actions with both mind and heart, not let surroundings distract or control me or my thoughts/moods, to make an honest attempt in what I do!!!

I should be happy if I can do these.

Ultimate goal or motive for me seems to be
*** "to be happy/satisfied" ***

Village Tourism

Village Tourism
- weekend in a village,
- no disturbance from TV, mobile, internet unless they want it
- walk to the fields if they like farming, bullock cart rides, petting the pets (cows, goats, sheep, chickens)
- visit temples, near by calm and peaceful places
- and of course village style simple food served in plantain leaf, etc.
- and anything that we can add which is the flavor of village... like sugarcane/paddy/etc harvest specials, ....

:-)

People will move to cities. so this will be a place to get away from the crowd and relax and feel good without burning your pockets. Will be good for kids to know about life in a village. Am I day dreaming...????

Namma GARDEN City

Gardens might soon vanish from Namma GARDEN City and remain just Namma City due to many infrastructure projects. While a few environmentalists and tree lovers protest in vain the politicians, businessmen and executives concerned with the projects snub them as PITAs (Pain In The A....)

Today 'Namma Metro' is the magnet in Bengaluru. To me, the impact of such infrastructure projects on the environment is a challenging research subject and an interesting topic to debate endlessly. I can either fight with determination, courage and time or choose to make a difference in one small way, one step at a time. For now I take the help of Google to find some ideas. Some results....

Plant a tree -  People with some piece of land can plant trees, where ever it is possible. Need not be necessarily inside Bengaluru.
Eco-Education -  In Schools and colleges and even at home. College and school students can make a difference through groups like NSS.
Talk - Talk to your friends and family members... who knows, one of us might know or become a politician or an executive who will make an effort to implement your ideas.

Choose to

When I can't find the remote control, car keys, wallet;
When I miss to turn right as my GPS says;
When the favorite dvd gets stuck;
When my cell phone signal is lost while I am on a conversation;
When the browser takes more than few seconds to load the page;
When the signal light turns red when I am close to it;
When I see the bus leaving, when I am running to the bus stop;
When the milk can is empty in the morning when I want coffee;
When we bite sand particle while eating;
When my son screams and cries in a shopping mall;
When my wife doesn't realize that her cell phone is ringing;
When I come across a beggar;
When I don't get the job;
...... I can either let my emotions control me or choose to take a deep breath and control my actions!!!

When I get to know about the recession;
When I read about rape, domestic violence, drug addicts;
When I read about terrorist attacks;
When I see the pictures from war zones;
When I read about the global warming or deforestation or polluting water bodies;
When there is an earth quake or tsunami or flood or any natural calamity;
....... I can either let my emotions control me or choose to take a deep breath and control my actions!!!

Life is a RIVER

            A RIVER in most cases is a replica of HUMAN LIFE. The way it is born out of this mother Earth, the rate at which it grows & finally joining the ocean with no discrimination.

            The source of a river is very difficult to locate. What ever be it’s source – a snow capped peak or a dense forest, the exact source of location is a mystery. As it starts to flow down, the time it takes to widen it’s boundaries is too short to it’s life time. Now, the very presence of it entertains all living things. With more sound and speed, indicating the state of youth, it now prepares to travel the journey with the support of all the small & big streams. Many streams, tributaries and other water sources support in providing the strength & speed it requires in finding it’s own journey. After a sound & steady growth it is now prepared to serve it’s mother.

The rapid transformation from a stream to a river is when it is more disturbed & diverted. This is also the phase when it achieves much in it’s goal to serve the mother Earth. It further widens the dimensions, but now in a slow & steady manner, which shows it is no more in it’s youth. This is also the phase where it flows in a path of it’s own, without expecting any more strength & support, though a river or a few tributaries join to make it more complete.

In keeping life on Earth with it’s heart & soul or in generating electricity with it’s speed & strength, it travels to sacrifice for the sake of other beings on this Earth. Though it tries hard to keep itself pure & to serve the mother Earth, sometimes it fails in achieving this goal by the evils of nature such as pollution, drought, etc.

The journey of it is not a smooth one as it looks. Born somewhere on this Earth, without having the directions for the journey, it travels through different terrain, a plateau, a plain, a forest, a town, a country, a valley and many more. The perseverance & determination in facing the barricades helps it to continue it’s journey in a better way. A strong will power & body provides support for a longer journey. When there are dams across, it rests for a while and springs back to recollect it’s power to continue the journey. It continues to serve the mother Earth with devotion & dedication without retaining the disasters or sufferings it suffers in the journey.

            The river also guides us to swim along it’s flow and reach the other end easily. But heroes swim the hard way to their success. The value of a river is more known only after it is lost or misused. The river keeps flowing with all the burdens, only to serve it’s mother Earth.

After shedding all it’s power in this tiresome journey, it goes in search of it’s end. Though it is reluctant in moving towards the end, death is committed to it’s job. Realizing this fact it agrees to flow further in a cool, quiet & composed way with hopes of having a re-birth, in an unknown place & an unknown form.

RICE

Rural Information CEnters (RICE) for the youth is my dream and determined to make it a reality.

It will be a place to sit and read, do their homeworks without disturbance, place to get their doubts cleared in subjects, place to interact with others who are interested in studies, place to get information about higher education, place to learn about computers, research(google) and a small library.

This came to me when I thought more about kids in my village. I am pretty sure that this is the same condition in many villages. Many kids in the village do not have required tools to do well in studies even if they wish to. They are disturbed very frequently by parents to do domestic work or by guests or the TV.

One house with few tables and benches, board to practice, one computer and a person who can guide/monitor these kids for 2 hours everyday, say from 6 to 8 pm will make a big difference. With determination and some price we can make RICE play a very big role in molding the future generation. RICE can become one of the valuable assets that feed those hungry for knowledge in our country.
