Life is a RIVER

A RIVER in most cases is a replica of HUMAN LIFE. The way it is born out of this mother Earth, the rate at which it grows & finally joining the ocean with no discrimination.

The source of a river is very difficult to locate. What ever be it’s source – a snow capped peak or a dense forest, the exact source of location is a mystery. As it starts to flow down, the time it takes to widen it’s boundaries is too short to it’s life time. Now, the very presence of it entertains all living things. With more sound and speed, indicating the state of youth, it now prepares to travel the journey with the support of all the small & big streams. Many streams, tributaries and other water sources support in providing the strength & speed it requires in finding it’s own journey. After a sound & steady growth it is now prepared to serve it’s mother.

The rapid transformation from a stream to a river is when it is more disturbed & diverted. This is also the phase when it achieves much in it’s goal to serve the mother Earth. It further widens the dimensions, but now in a slow & steady manner, which shows it is no more in it’s youth. This is also the phase where it flows in a path of it’s own, without expecting any more strength & support, though a river or a few tributaries join to make it more complete.

In keeping life on Earth with it’s heart & soul or in generating electricity with it’s speed & strength, it travels to sacrifice for the sake of other beings on this Earth. Though it tries hard to keep itself pure & to serve the mother Earth, sometimes it fails in achieving this goal by the evils of nature such as pollution, drought, etc.

The journey of it is not a smooth one as it looks. Born somewhere on this Earth, without having the directions for the journey, it travels through different terrain, a plateau, a plain, a forest, a town, a country, a valley and many more. The perseverance & determination in facing the barricades helps it to continue it’s journey in a better way. A strong will power & body provides support for a longer journey. When there are dams across, it rests for a while and springs back to recollect it’s power to continue the journey. It continues to serve the mother Earth with devotion & dedication without retaining the disasters or sufferings it suffers in the journey.

The river also guides us to swim along it’s flow and reach the other end easily. But heroes swim the hard way to their success. The value of a river is more known only after it is lost or misused. The river keeps flowing with all the burdens, only to serve it’s mother Earth.

After shedding all it’s power in this tiresome journey, it goes in search of it’s end. Though it is reluctant in moving towards the end, death is committed to it’s job. Realizing this fact it agrees to flow further in a cool, quiet & composed way with hopes of having a re-birth, in an unknown place & an unknown form.

  • Men may come, men may go, but a river goes on forever. Is in't so?
